Quote Former WWE superstar Rikishi has been booked by All Japan Pro Wrestling. On AJPW's 2/17 Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan show, SUMO RIKISHI and Nobutaka Araya will face Akebono and Touru Owashi in Akebono's return to the promotion. This will be the show that will also feature The Great Muta and Tajiri vs. Gold Dustin (Goldust) and Hakushi.

That match interests me a great deal as i haven't seen many Hakushi matches since his mid 90s WWE run. I use to love his symbols on his body and his excellent in ring work. Then they pair him with a guy who made a weird gimmick get over really good. Rikishi and Great Muta are both adequate wrestlers at their different styles. I bet the fans will be really into this match up. Next saturday the Japanese fans will be out in force to watch it. I would say Muta and Rikishi will win the match. Be interesting to know which team is face and which team is heel.

Quote All Japan Pro Wrestling must be fans of the Nitro Girl's or ECW's Extreme Expose. AJPW will be introducing Takefuji dancers on 3/30. Takefuji is rumored to be helping to sponsor All Japan.

Well it seems the All Japan promotion are seeing that some fans are fans of Nitro Girls, as this is what these Japanese women are looking like in there costumes. I seriously hope they dont have them be as lame as ECW's Extreme Expose.

Quote former WWE superstar Rosey will be missing all of his bookings for All Japan Pro Wrestling's "Hold Out Tour 2007," and might not return to the Orient until perhaps this summer. It seems as if he's filming some sort of television show in the United States, and had to make a last minute cancellation. The former member of Three Minute Warning promised that he would show the Voodoo style on his small hiatus and would return for the group stronger then ever.

He must have got permision off All Japan to go out and do outside comittments. Maybe he is close to the end of his contract and they wish to keep him sweet so he doesn't leave. I don't see Rosey still being with All Japan in a year or so anyway. This show no matter how small will get him noticed again in America and also get people remembering him that's forgotten about him. Vince will probably get in touch with him to give him a offer he cannot refuse once he's back in the public eye more.

On a recent tour with All Japan, wrestling icon Abdullah the Butcher teamed with Nobutaka Araya to face Seiya Sanada and Nobukazu Hirai in a prelim match. Butcher had trouble getting into the ring at age 70, and stayed on the floor and brawled.
i cant believe they are still using him so much, he is so limited in the ring, and in matches that i still cant believe he even gets any pops at all. he should retire because it seems he is getting worse and worse.
Qouth the draven, nevermore.

Butcher should have retired 30 years ago. He's never been anything but a fat guy who likes a gimmick match. Why do people still keep on booking him for? He's not even a big name in the industry. All Japan just lose credibility by booking someone like him. What about the poor fans? They shouldn't have to put up with seeing him in action after spending good money to watch the show. Wrestling sat down tells you all you need to know.
