There is a Talk is Jericho podcast from a few months back, I believe it was a few weeks before All In. During that conversation Cody mentions how he would never go back to WWE again, simply because he enjoys the freedom he now has creatively. Jericho's response which was very much in agreement with Cody led me to believe that he may very well be done with WWE for those exact same reasons. He was talking about putting together his cruise and how it's been an eye opening experience for him as to who is really willing to cooperate (ROH, NJPW) who is supportive (Vince) and who is neither (Triple H).

I really don't think Chris Jericho is gonna go back, and I think we'll find out that Omega turns WWEs offer down as well.

That said, if they were to go back, that'd be just another reason AEW could fail. I watched TNA get put together, and this is nothing like that philosophically. Jarrett was trying to pick up the pieces of NWA/WCW and move forward under a new name. ROH was more akin to what AEW is back when you had Bobby Heenan and Corny involved. Despite that AEW seems... smarter. Like they're more well prepared than either Jarrett & Co or ROH.

There is a million and one reasons AEW could fail, but the reasons they could succeed make me more hopeful than anyone who has come since the fall of WCW. I just don't see WWE being able to squash these guys, nor do I see them self destructing over bad choices... at least not yet, and if they end up with some kind of TV deal with Ted Turner... man I don't know... there is a very small chance, (yet far greater than either ROH or TNA or GFW ever had) that this could turn into the next Monday Night War.

Quote Former WWE superstar Neville has been spotted in Jacksonville, FL and is expected to be a part of the All Elite Wrestling rally scheduled for this afternoon. WWE is also in the city for tonight's Smackdown, but PWInsider reports that Neville is not for the WWE event.

-- Neville has not been seen on WWE TV since late 2017 when he reportedly walked out of the company. WWE then proceeded to freeze his contract, preventing him from wrestling anywhere else but over the summer, they finally granted him a full release. It appears by his anticipated participation in the AEW rally today that he is going to be signing and wrestling for the new promotion.

A good signing for them getting on board a guy who will be eager to show people how good he still is, after so long away from the business.

I hope he's not going to be E bashing and coming across as all bitter though.

In any promo or interview he does he should stick to the positives as to why he's with AEW and what he plans to do there.

Getting Neville is a good call for sure. I'm sure once Omega officially announces for AEW in spite of the WWE offer other wrestlers will start trickling in much faster.

They're gonna need to find some women soon that aren't the drizzling shits. Some of the women from the may Young classic would probably be a good start as WWE and nxt have pretty much everyone. Itd be good if they could get Emma, but I don't know how long she is contracted with ROH.

I wonder if they could get or even if it would be worth it to get Gail Kim and Awesome Kong?

The rally featuring too much WWE bashing for my liking, and their production values need a bit of work, but it's a solid start. The next few months are crucial. As long as they don't rush they should be able to build towards a similar level as Ring Of Honor fairly quickly.

If they build around Neville they've got a solid future. Meanwhile, Jericho is likely to wrestle very rarely but should be at the big events.

Hangman was talking about E without mentioning them by name. Apart from that I didn't sense E bashing from their two You Tube channel videos from yesterday.

Both videos were uploaded with poor quality. The longer video had no sound at the start for ages. The shorter video kept freezing and jumping.

Guess there is no Something To Wrestle season 2 coming to the Network now Conrad is with AEW.
