Oh... yeah I hadn't thought about that. You could be right, the feud could be over by Fast Lane, and then Owens steps in. I could see that happening.

In either case I do think we have yet to see the end of AJ vs Y2J, and it's a feud I saw almost as soon as Jericho entered the ring at the Rumble, and then quickly dismissed and forgot about until I saw them again last night on Raw.

Jericho is capable of a lot better than what we saw last night on Raw, and while I've seen very little of AJ, all indications are that he can do a lot better too. I'm sure he just needs to work out the kinks, and they need to develop some chemistry and then things will be fine. I would say their match on Raw was merely OK.

At the moment I just hope AJ doesn't flop in WWE, the early signs are encouraging, he's been put over as a big deal, clean win over Jericho, great crowd response etc, but the concerning thing is they keep saying how he's finally in the big leagues which almost dismisses everything he's done previously as small-time.

Must admit it was kind of strange seeing Styles in a WWE ring, he almost looked out of place.

That is kind of how it goes in the wwe. Owens went to nxt and proved himself in a big way before he got hyped and beat Cena. Prior to that they talked about Owens the same way they talked about Zayn, Samoa Joe, Kenya, Uhaa, etc.

It means a lot that AJ did go straight to the main roster. That alone proves his past meant something. But once you get your job it all means nothing and you start at 0 just like everyone else.

This feud with Jericho had better impress the guys in back and get over with the fans or AJ will be stuck in a hole and have to dig his way out.

Quote Renee Young is backstage with AJ Styles. She asks who exactly is AJ Styles. AJ says he didn’t just make headlines last night, he turned WWE upside down. As far as who he is… Chris Jericho walks up and interrupts. He’s been waiting a long time to have Styles in WWE. Jericho says the biggest, hottest free agent is finally where he belongs. Jericho brings up AJ’s international success but says he’s never been here. Styles has a big chance to make an impression tonight. Jericho says here is AJ’s shot. He slaps AJ on the chest, welcomes him to the big leagues, calls him a kid and walks off. Back to commercial.

Better late than never but would have had more impact had he joined five or so years ago.

Then he'd have jumped when TNA were still worth watching with big names on a decent network.

Now it's more like he's here because where he was has gone so downhill that even a company guy like Styles wants to jump ship.

AJ hasn't been part of the TNA roster for over two years since he quit the company over a money dispute. He has since been wrestling for New Japan where he's apparently done some of the best work of his career and of course replaced Finn Balor in the Bullet Club.

Thing is I don't think AJ was on the WWE radar when he was part of TNA, it's likely the fact his work in Japan has received such praise and possibly also that WWE now seem more open to the idea of hiring former TNA talent that they've now brought him in. The success of indy standouts like Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor may also be a factor.

I hope the good booking is kept up because he's looking a real star already instead of some ageing redneck who's turned up after a career in the small leagues.

His look and music works. As does keeping him talking to as little as possible by putting him in segments with great talkers like The Miz and Jericho.

He wouldn't be a long term option with size/age working against him, but he could actually be world champion at some point if his momentum is kept up.

They just changed his music. I didn't like his original music very much, but I can't tell what his new music is. I'm sure I could find it on youtube.

I'm happy that his storyline with Jericho is continuing. This will make for a very good feud if it heats up.

I would like to actually hear him on the mic and see what he can do in that aspect before I really get on the bandwagon though. He's unquestionably a notable talent for the WWE, but whether or not he can be a top guy and a draw depends on his ability to work a mic in addition to working a match.

I'm a bit concerned about how he's being booked, it's early days and he already looks a bit out of his depth and his reactions are beginning to weaken.

The Jericho feud seems to be going the slow burn route and I can see a match at Wrestlemania, maybe a screwy finish or a upset style win for AJ leading to a Y2J heel turn then the rubber match at Mania, I would say two out of three falls but think time constraints will prevent that at WM.

of “Phenomenal,” and it should be a pleasure to see what he accomplishes in

2018.</P>

That fact should be mentioned when he ends up in the HOF as the head of the class for the year he goes in.

He's achieved so many records and only been around a few years. He works incredibly hard to entertain.

I know though that some will want to see him headline as champion long term on Raw before they rate him higher.

There is not a more gifted guy to ever enter the WWE in my opinion

Put him in the same matches as some of the other supposedly G.O.A.T's and tell me he wouldn't have as equally a good if not better match than what they had.

I would like to see him main event wrestlemania and be given sufficient match time - which seems like it would only increase if he went to Raw (as the A show gets the A position on the card)

He doesnt need to be around the main event (world title) all of the time because when he is involved - whatever the storyline is - it generally seems to become the Main event anyways and that is all down to his ability to make people care about matches and his unbelievable wrestling ability
