I'm still in limbo on the quality of this match. It WAS good. The crowd was deflated after the women's rumble, and given what they had planned with Balor vs Lesnar they should have put that match first, and then gone on to Styles vs Bryan, but it's really not a HUGE deal. What is a big deal is whether or not Erick Rowan & Daniel Bryan make a good pairing or if they do something really stupid and boring with them that makes this angle that took place during the Royal Rumble just that much more cheap.

It's kind of like how in bowling if you get a spare or a strike, your score for that frame isn't counted until the next frame or two is completed. That's where I feel like we stand with this match. If somehow this turns into something pretty great then that reflects well on the decision to have him get involved with the Royal Rumble match, but if not, then /raspberry

Got to be honest I was a bit bored of this match and although the crowd were awful all night- they were particularly awful throughout this.

I think the match placement had alot to do with this and had this of been the opener then it would have went down alot better than what it actually did

Bored me, Im not a fan of small guy techical wrestling matches like this, I think these two do their best work when matched against larger opponents for a contrast of style.

The most interesting part for me was the introduction of Rowan to the match, could this be the start of a new Wyatt Family stable? Could even be the origins of a Bryan vs Bray Wyatt feud who knows? If Wyatt comes back as a babyface that would be very interesting.

The problem was that by the time the match happened, we were approaching hour 3 of the event. it was a good match, and the follow up on Smackdown set the predictable scene for Elimination Chamber and the WWE title being up for grabs in a Chamber match, because obviously Brock won't work again until Mania now.

I had thought since Bryan's heel change that he was carrying a leather strap, but then had heard he'd already had the strap changed to faux leather. while the new belt looks ridiculous, its not as bad as the spinner title, and will obviously only be used while Bryan is champ. out of the guys in the Chamber, if Bryan doesn't retain, which I think is the likely outcome, then the only other person with a chance is AJ, as they have to have some sort of brutal blowout match there/

I think with the addition of Erick Rowan, Bryan is more likely to retain, however I'm not really sure who he defends against that is WrestleMania quality, unless it's Seth Rollins. The fans were chanting burn it down, so it appears they want it too, but I guess it's pretty week preordained he will wrestle Brock Lesnar.

I think Rollins vs Bryan is the more interesting matchup though.

As for Styles... I'm not really sure where you go with him at this point. In previous years someone like him, who had recently finished their world title run would be given a match against the likes of Undertaker or HHH, but I think those might both be off the table at this point.
