Im not the biggest fan of abortion when I was younger I was firmly in the situation of you fuck up you pay the consuquence however now I'm of a different mindset.

Abortion doesn't affect just the child bearer but also their partner or the person they happened to have sex with and it needs to be discussed between them before any decisions are made.

Obviously in the case of being pregnant because of a rape is a very different story altogether the child bearer needs to decide if she wants to have her rapists baby or not or even to keep the baby.

What I have noticed more often now and something that I believe needs to be addressed is the lack of sexual education people aren't getting at school and lack of knowledge on protection simply because schools won't talk about and expect parents to do it instead while parents are in the reverse meaning more often and not lack of protection during sex leading to more and more teenage parents and more abortions simply because kids were not educated enough to know what to do.

My view is much the same as Admin, abortion should be allowed as there are a multitude of ways a unplanned pregnancy can happen that are beyond the control of the potential Mother. However should a person be constantly irresponsible with birth control then there should be a limit, for example ok we’re all human and many of us have had a drunken fumble or several in our time, this can easily result in a accidental pregnancy, is it irresponsible of course but I think if it happens to someone for the first time then a abortion should be granted if they make that choice, however should they make that same mistake again I would say it’s fair to not grant it a second time. As Admin said if they don’t want the child then put it up for adoption and help the many people who want to be parents but can’t be.

In the case of rape, faulty contraception and anything else that is no fault of the person who becomes pregnant then a abortion should be a option for them no question if that’s what they choose.
