I would completely agree. The first Kurt Angle match in WWE in 11 years should have been one of two things:

A. A MUCH more hyped up return, in a singles match against a major star with a good build up to it.

or...

B. A surprise Royal Rumble entrant (what I thought they were gonna do for the 2017 Rumble with the rumors of his return.) That pop would have been tremendous.

To throw him in a tag match last minute just didn't have the same impact as it deserved.

Plus even when he did return, as I said in my Survivor Series review he looked sluggish in the ring.

Also, I find it interesting how this thread came full circle with Kurt Angle, as in my initial opening post I put Kurt Angle's departure from WWE in 2006 as one of the lowlights to make that year the worst in my eyes.

Need I remind you that the woman's MitB match was won by a MAN!? Come on now.

Yeah I'll give you this one. Money In The Bank was one of the pay per views I watched in 2017, mostly because I was excited about that match. James Ellsworth grabbing the briefcase for Carmella was a massive let down. It was a match that COULD HAVE been great, maybe even a classic if the girls showcasing of what they can do would have continued to the finish. It was such a missed opportunity.

I am not sure why #Heel and Shizzel are using this example as a plus for a highlight of the year. The mere existence of the match being booked and scheduled doesn't make it good in itself.

I'll give you these two points.

Well ultimately I didn't even watch 2006 so I can't really say with any self assuredness that 2017 was worse, but I have seen 1995 and wcw 2000, and 2017 imo was rivalling wcw 2000 and left wwf 1995 in the dust.
